Essential Duties Conduct and ensure rounding protocol to monitor inside and outside of building, according to established procedures. Lead effective communication transfer at shift change with off-going and on-coming officers. Maintain the shift log up-to-date and completed by the end of the shift. Monitor and measure performance of security and risk personnel. Communicate organizational security and safety information to residents, staff, and visitor populations. Participate in Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement initiatives across the FVD campus by regularly conducting audits of areas of responsible oversight. Field and address by investigation campus complaints involving security and facilitate proper notification if applicable. Maintain staffing schedule for security and risk personnel, including being the built in secondary acting secrurity officer for primarily first shit and second shift when needed. Facilitates Life Safety Code Program and supports disaster planning and response. Assists in facilitation and maintenance of the Risk Management Program at FVD. Oversight of Community Transportation Program and coordination across campus. Acts as the primary administrator of the Status Solutions SARA application and supports related systems that impact campus safety and risk management. (ie: PCC, Accushield, Touchtown, Worxhub). Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, action plans, and controls to reduce, transfer, avoid, or accept identified risks. Design and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to minimize exposure to risks. Collaborate with department heads and process owners to integrate risk management practices into daily operations and decision-making. Collaborates with IT department to facilitate fob/key distribution and community support. Maintains the campus-wide Emergency Response Plan and distributes updates as needed. Know and uphold Residents' Rights and Code of Conduct policies. Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information. Coordinates and distributes community safety protocol and regular education by season. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant years of experience 5-7 years of safety, security, and risk management experience in hospitality or like industry (i.e. hotels, restaurants, retail, etc.) Knowledge of budgets and P&L statements Knowledge of insurance policies and overall risk management activities as they pertain to physical buildings Possess the ability to make effective, sound business decisions and the knowledge to understand the overall impact of those decisions on the organization. Serve as the subject matter expert on safety and security to the brand Assist in the development and on-going update of safety and security manuals, policies, procedures and programs Effective written and oral communication skills along with the ability to interact with all levels of management. Ability to effectively interact/communicate with all levels of operations management in the field of safety and security and related matters.
